Day 6 Off to William Creek only 70ks, just back on the track and notice fuel gauge on empty, wave of panic as no fuel till William Creek. Remember gauge on 1/2 last night, reverse back up and gauge goes up, decide gauge faulty and continue on with trepidation.20ks on cow on road notice horn does not work ,think we have done a fuse.
Arrive at William Creek (population 12) fuel up only takes 28 litres, book into caravan park facilities tired but clean, staff friendly and helpful. Next stop the pub, were Lyn strikes up conversation with barman who just happens to come from Ballarat and used to holiday in Barham, knows all the fishing spots. Great outback pub full of character, enjoyable stopover
