Day Nineteen
Drove back to Normanton for aloof around town, fairly un appealing place, though the information centre was good and Souvineers were cheap. Called into the railway station to see the Gulflander train that runs from Normanton to Croydon 151ks,often referred as the train that runs from nowhere to nowhere, when we called in it was somewhere in between.
Took the obligatory photos of Krys the 28′ 4” crock that’s just under 9metres shot by Krystina Pawlowski in 1957.
Picked up some bait and tried our luck from the riverbank just out of town, I caught a bream almost immediately and Lyn hooked a catfish an hour later, headed back to Karumba around 1600
Dinner at the pub Roast night we each had pork and the servings were huge excellent value at $12
