Day Twenty Nine

The above link (Paronella Park just below photos) provides you with the story and history of Jose Paronella but it is  the narrow walkways through the rain forest that lead to  a secluded waterfall  that capture     the romance of his dream. As the guide tells us Jose is rumoured to have told soldiers on leave if you have not concluded( “a kiss in those days”) by Teresa’s waterfall give up because it is not going to happen.

Although the castle is in disrepair  enough remains to see the grandeur of his dream and the enormity of his achievement. Walk through the giant Kauri pines, sit by the waterfalls, feed the fish and turtles, and imagine Paronella Pleasure Park as it was in the 30s and 40s

Restoration of the park is continuing and barring cyclones  the ballroom should be completed in 3 years.

Love the picture of the trees (looking straight up). might use it for my desktop screen. Makenzie said Hi, she loves the waterfall pictures but we both believe Mackenzie falls is better, coz that’s where her name came from. lol
Not much happening here, everyone well and cold. lol. Next year Mackenzie wants to go with you, wherever the road leads. Good education…

    1. Naturally Mackenzie falls are better. Not too sure Mackenzie would want to come next year as we hope to go to the Elvis festival in Parkes, maybe the year after.
